The periodontal (gum) tissues are an important part of your oral health. Our experience and expertise in periodontics allows us to provide high-quality treatments you cannot find anywhere else!

Non-Surgical Treatment (Scaling and Root Planing)

If we diagnose you with periodontal disease, you may need a deep cleaning. Also known as a scaling and root planing, this procedure is designed to eliminate large deposits of plaque and tartar. After your deep cleaning, your gums should return to a healthy, pink state.

Surgical Treatment Options

There are a variety of treatment options to control an infection caused by gum disease. When gum disease reaches a severe level, we use surgical treatment options to cure the condition. These treatment options include gingivectomy, pocket reduction surgery, bone grafting, and a few more. The type of treatment option we choose depends on the severity of the gum disease.

Frenectomy

A frenectomy is a minor surgical procedure that involves the removal of the lingual or labial frenum. We may recommend a frenectomy to improve the mobility of your tongue and allow for proper speech (removal of lingual frenum). Removing the labial frenum may be necessary to close the gap between the two front teeth.

Gingival Contouring/Esthetic Crown Lengthening

Some people are born with uneven gums or an excessive amount of gum tissue. This can create aesthetic issues with your smile. We may recommend gingival contouring to improve the balance between your teeth and gums, giving you a more beautiful smile!

Gum Graft Surgery

Gum graft surgery may be the best way to address severe gum recession. Gum recession can be the result of periodontal disease, aging, trauma, over-brushing, and misaligned teeth. Gum recession can result in substantial sensitivity issues, pain, and poor smile aesthetics.
